In the early morning hours on Saturday, a motorcyclist from Ashville was killed in a crash on Taft Avenue. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened just before 2:00 a.m. The rider, 41-year-old Charles Thomas Miller, was on a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja at the time of the wreck.

For currently unknown reasons, his motorcycle left the roadway, crashed through shrubs and came to rest in a residential yard. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and died as a result of his injuries. The cause of this crash is likely still under investigation with law enforcement authorities. At this time, it’s not believed that any other vehicles were involved.
