Over the weekend, a dog known to Henderson County Animal Services as aggressive attacked a woman in the River Oaks community. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the owners previously surrendered the dog after it mauled a smaller dog last year. The owners later re-adopted the dog, after they were given notice that it was going to be euthanized. They were required to follow strict safety guidelines, since the dog had a history of aggression.

Unfortunately, the dog reportedly got loose and attacked a woman who lives in the community. She suffered injuries to her arm, back and other parts of her body. The owners are facing two misdemeanors and a $500 fine. Officials with Henderson County Animal Services are considering a change to their current policy after this event.
